Ghana Commercial Bank sends customers to Brazil

Accra, April 3, GNA - Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) has conducted the of three draws of its promotional campaign to select 10 winners to watch the World Cup football tournament in Brazil as part of its pledge to send 30 of its customers to support the Black Stars.

The draw, which was conducted in partnership with the National Lottery Authority, saw 10 winners from the regions and 30 non-winners who received prizes including replica jerseys, footballs and LED televisions.

The winners who will make the trip to Brazil are George Danso, Robert Tette Odidja, Samuel Lawerh Kabutey, Kofi Osei- Afoakwa, Stephen Baffoe, Zoogah Yin-Anaab Muk.

The others are Ben Anaba Moscoh, Agyei Kwame, Amponsah Robert and Michael Opoku Afriyie.

They are the Banks customers from its branches in Ashaiman, Tarkwa, Jasikan, Trade Fair, Bolgatanga, Nsawam, Nkawie, Winneba and Dormaa Ahenkro.

GCB will process and ensure that the winners of the draw get visas, tickets, accommodation and transportation to and from Brazil as well as meals.

The non- winners of the campaign were awarded consolation prizes and these included LED TV sets, replica jerseys and branded footballs.

Kojo Addae-Mensah, the Chief Operating Officer of the Bank, said the campaign dubbed GCB 30 to Brazil promotion was aimed at sending Ghanaians to Brazil to support the national team and increase the support base for the players.

He said the promotion also was to showcase the potential of Ghana, show to the world Made- in-Ghana products and services, Ghana as a brand to the world and to demonstrate to the world that Ghana is an emerging market with peace and opportunities for investment.

Doris Wunu, Head of Consumer Banking, said it was important for the Bank to reward its customers and urged customers of the Bank to take advantage of the promotion by saving at least GH1,000.00

The second draw of the promotion will be held on May 2 to select 10 customers and the final draw will be held on June 2.
