PPP PPP proposes solution to worsening crisis in Education, Health sectors
MAR 28, 2014 LISTEN

The Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has proposed a workable plan to solve numerous problems facing two critical  sectors  of the economy - education and health .

The party says it is optimistic that its policies and programs are tailored to solve the crisis in these critical sectors.

This was announced at a news  conference  in Accra by the National Vice Chairperson of the party Mary Ankomah Boakye –Boateng.

The press conference was also used to outline activities to mark the party's 2nd anniversary including public lectures  across the country.

She said  the PPP is  the most credible and aggressive political party and the only party which can bring sustainable development Ghanaians expect. She added, the PPP within a period of seven (7) months after inception, demonstrated clear commitment to comply  with the provisions of the Political Parties Law.

She noted   that the Progressive People's Party  being the first political party to   submit its  Audited Accounts to the Electoral Commission, shows the party's effort to maintain transparent governance when it is given the mandate.

According to her, Since Dr. Kwame Nkrumah led the country to political independence, Ghana has been denied that capable leader who will deliver on the promise of economic independence.

“This was and is abundantly clear in our attitude during the 2012 elections campaign and post 2012 elections. We have systematically distinguished ourselves as a party genuinely committed to engage the Ghanaian electorate with pragmatic and progressive policy alternatives for the effective administration of our dear country.

"We have been working religiously to ensure that we continue to be relevant to the high aspirations of Ghanaians which has evaded them for so long. The PPP has come to stay and will continue to work even harder to win the mandate of the people of Ghana in 2016 and beyond," she stated.

The party will hold a symposium  at  Tarkwa in the Western Region on 3rd May to discuss and explain its policy positions to  members and the public.
