The leader of the People's National Convention, Dr. Edward Mahama says NPP and NDC are rich because they are corrupt.

Both NDC and NPP have finished their congress and have elected their presidential candidate but PNC is struggling to raise money to hold delegate congress to elect national executives and a presidential candidate.

This according to Dr. Mahama is because the two most popular parties are corrupt have stolen and stealing state resources to run their parties. Moctar Bamba has been sacked by President Kufuor's government for indulging in corrupt practices whilst NDC's former finance minister Kwame Peprah is serving a jail sentence for aiding corrupt deal, these are ample evidence of corruption the two parties are perpetrating.

Dr. Mahama has consistently maintained that the government is corrupt and non- performing even though his party supported the NPP to unseat the NDC after eight years in power.

Dr. Mahama was speaking on Peace FM morning show programme, Kokrokoo on Wednesday April 7. Dr. Mahama and Kofi Wayo who are described as the image makers of the PNC are presidential aspirants of the PNC.

Mr. Wayo also speaking on the morning show programme strongly criticized the government for not providing the needs of the people. “Ghanaians are suffering and everyday some of them especially from Nima troop to my house for money to go to hospitals and pay for their children's school fees whilst government officials are living luxurious lifestyles in the country.”

The PNC has postponed its delegate's congress to elect national executives and presidential candidates twice due to financial constraints and no date to hold the congress has been set, though the general election is about eight months away.

Mr. Kwaku Baako, a senior journalist and political commentator described the views expressed by Dr. Mahama and Kofi Wayo as ugly noise and advised the two to work to unite their party instead of making unproductive comments on radio.
