Marriage And Divorce - What Can We Do? (1)

Dear reader,

If you know anyone who is or if you are considering or about to break your marriage, please halt further actions for few weeks pending the outcomes of our marital discussions. Remember that millions of marriages face serious trauma, yet all of these troubled marriages can be resolved and restored.

Marriage is the creation of Yahweh, which binds all humanity in all generations regardless of our religious leanings-Genesis 2:21-24; Matthew 19:4-6. Marriage reveals the unbreakable covenant love of Yeshua to His body (the church). Once a marriage has taken place, Yahweh Elohim (the maker of all things) gives His irreversible approval.

Marriage made by Yahweh involves only two adults: one natural man and one natural woman-Matthew 19:4-6. Any marriage outside this order is a false deceitful union, whose author and enforcer is Satan. Examples are gay and lesbian practices-1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Such false marriages were ranked alongside humans/beasts relationship and adultery all of which carried the death sentence during time of Moses-Leviticus 20:10-15; such false marriages should have no place among the children of Yahweh.

Once a marriage has taken place, no one has a right to violate it. Elohim alone can separate a marriage, because He alone joined the natural man and natural woman in marriage. One way Elohim separates us in marriage is through death-Romans 7:2-3. Marriages between natural women and natural men are meant to glorify the Lord.

Every adult natural man or woman is destined for one person. Identifying the person meant for someone is the beginning of the sacrificial requirement of a marital life. The best way to do this is to follow the WAY, the Truth and Life which is Yeshua. If we honestly and dutifully follow His Way, He will assuredly lead each person to the rightful spouse according to the will of Yahweh.

Much as some will crave for marital life, it does not seem that every adult person will become married-1 Corinthians 7:37-38. If we happen not to be married in this life, we should rejoice and use the non marital opportunity to serve the Lord and remain a blessing to our neighbours-1 Corinthians 7:32.

The second marital sacrifice is accepting the person Yeshua has revealed to you. The person might be a disfigured, a prostitute, an opponent, someone from another tribe or race, etc, which opposes our pre-conceived spouse. Despite protests, we must know that the blessing that comes from Elohim does not add sorrow. Here lies the challenge of many marriages, which rejected Yeshua's revealed partners for their pre-conceived partners.

The 3rd, perhaps, the most challenging of all marital sacrifices is accepting for life whoever we have been united with as there is no second marriage option so long both spouses remain alive. Marriage between one natural man and one natural woman is for life. Another marriage can only take place when one's spouse passes away-Romans 7:2-3.

Every year, millions of marriages take place globally yet many millions of these marriages burst within few years. There are as many broken marriages outside the church as there are inside the church. Why is it so and what is the solution; what can all of us do to reduce and possibly stop us from violating the right of Elohim in marriages?

Everyone has a stake; kindly send in a summary of your reason/s for breaking your marriage; a summary of your experience/s from others who have gone this way; a summary of your positive or negative influences on marriages; If your marriage has gone sour, you stand the best chance to uplift our neighbours' marriages; be guided by the Holy Spirit and mention also the part we played that prompted the deterioration and breakage of these marriages.

If you operate a worship/discussion centre, kindly send in a summarized experiences from brethren whose marriages have degenerated; a summary of how you and or your worship centre has encouraged or damaged marriages; besides, send in your proffered solution/s or why you feel these broken marriages are irreparable.

All of these accounts will be considered together and the outcomes published. Consider the impacts of such findings. The solution to all marital problems begins with recognizing the problems. We are not stopping there; solutions must be worked out and united effort put in place to ensure marriage breakdowns are stopped. Let us reduce global marriage breakdowns by at least a quarter before 2014 runs out?

Remember that marriage is indisputably, the nucleus of all humanity. Disrupt the institution; you disrupt the soul for human existence. Satan understands this principle better than humans and would stop at nothing to exploit our sensibilities against each other to disrupt this process. This open war with Yahweh Elohim started from origin. We happen to be at the centre of the theatre; we are either used by Yahweh or we are used by His enemy - Satan. But the choice is ours to make.
