Public notified on unidentified body of accident victim

Accra, March 30, GNA - The Public Relations Directorate of the Ghana Police on Tuesday requested the relatives of a female pedestrian who was knocked down by a Daewoo taxi cab number GT 39 Q at SCC Junction on the Accra-Kasoa road on March 1, 2004, to contact the Police Accra West Divisional MTTU, Odorkor.

According to a statement issued in Accra the victim, aged about 19 years, black in completion and about five feet three inches tall believed to be an Ewe was rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in coma but later died. The statement said that the body had since been deposited at the Hospital Mortuary in Fridge number NB5 and requested the relatives to contact the police for identification and collection.
