Genius Creative Media, in collaboration with Mcjoy Advertising and Africa Media Consult, has honoured the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Klass Hospital, Dr Steve Ogbordjor, for his personal contribution to the development of society.

Presenting the award to the CEO at his residence at Konongo in the Asante Akyem Central municipality, the CEO of Africa Media Consult, Michael Nana Ampong, acknowledged the fact that Dr Ogbordjor had personally influenced the development of society, mostly in the area of education and sports.

He said although a medical doctor, Dr Ogbordjor had broadened his frontiers to support schoolchildren in Konongo and in the deprived community of Donkorkrom to promote quality education.

He said in Donkorkrom, Dr Ogbordjor had organised free extra classes for over 200 pupils drawn from all public schools in Donkorkrom and its surrounding communities in the core subjects of English Language, Mathematics and Science.

Apart from that, Nana Ampong acknowledged the fact that Dr Ogbordjor had, since 2002, instituted both full and partial scholarship schemes for brilliant schoolchildren in the area, which has helped over 30 beneficiaries to further their education to the secondary and tertiary levels.

Nana Ampong showed appreciation to Dr Ogbordjor for the "Dr Steve Ogbordjor Computer Laboratory and Library" which is stocked textbooks and novels.

On sports, Nana Ampong praised him for owning First Klass and Academy, featuring Under 13, 15 and 17 players.

Dr Ogbordjor expressed thanks to the consult for acknowledging his efforts, saying the honour would encourage him to do more to support the development of society and asked others to join in developing the youth.
