How Party Leaders Do Their Politics And The Management of Party's Limited Resources.

Preamble.
The truth is bitter, but needs to be told. It is easier to cause mendacity than to voice out the truth, because the truth is sometimes bitter. In most cases speaking the truth causes adversities, yet, someone must say it.

The most important aspect of it is that, it needs to be said and be said at the appropriate time. If lies and pretence are not straightened it would be mistaken as the truth.

As the book of Proverbs state; correct the foolish from his foolish ways, else he might mistake it as wise thought.

The Apostle John also wrote in his book and I quote; “And ye shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall make you free.”

People ask many questions as to why self conscience loyalist takes the risk to unleash a hidden truth that may detain his political life. Let's remember what Martin Luther King once wrote and I quote; “Cowardice asks the question: Is it safe? Expediency asks the question: Is it Political? Vanity asks the question: Is it popular? But conscience asks the question: Is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor Political, nor Popular- but one must take it simply because it is RIGHT.” Dr. Martin Luther King.

With these quotations above, readers must understand and be acquainted with my reasons of writing and must accept the fact that, because it is Right.

The book is not a personal vendetta or revelation of confidentialities but the truth and to let N.P.P. loyal supporters and delegates know whether people they delegated Party's positions to, truly lived up to their chore as they always made us believe. I will bring on board and reveal to the public people with key positions in our Party who were dinning with our main opponent in return for cash and kind. Vital evidence would be provided if necessary, to authenticate some of the issues addressed.

Each chapter of the book will focus on one elected National Officer of the New Patriotic Party (N.P.P.) from the day he /she was elected to December 2012. It will highlight the role played to the best of my knowledge and beyond that, reveals some unnecessary actions taken by that officer which directly or indirectly pulled Nana Akufo Addo into ditch and caused his unnecessary defeat.

People should accept that, electing you as a Party leader goes far beyond making cacophonous noise on radio, coming to the office either regular or irregular and what have you. Do not forget that I am highly interested in discussing how people managed the party's limited resource for their personal benefit and for their moral interest.

In some cases, I may discuss an appointee or employee if the matter in question is linked to him /her.

The book may put more emphasis and attention on some key members who were on top of the party's administration. I willingly accept the fact that, their actions may not be the only reason or reasons to Nana Akufo Addo's defeat but in my candid opinion, it contributed immensely.

I will commend and praise when it deems fit. People like Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh,(M.P. Manhyia) Mr. McManu,(Former National Chairman) Hon. Fremah Opare Ansah,(Former M.P. Ayawaso West Wougon) Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako(Chairman Wontumi) just to name a few are some of the people who suffered day and night with their strength, blood and resources to see Nana through but to no avail. I will say kudos and better luck next time to these people and those I could not mention.

I have no idea as to what a Presidential Candidate could have done to win elections that Nana did not do. Therefore, we should accept that there was something wrong somewhere that people must know. We should not always blame our opponent for things we couldn't do, rather accept our own mistakes which is the first step to solving our problems.

Most people assert that Nana's defeat was sorely caused by people he put around him, I genuinely do not buy into that assertion although it may have played some role; I strongly believe Nana Addo's defeat was caused by people who were running the affairs of the Party at the National Headquarters who lost control of authority and the Party because of their self-interest and immoral acts.

I sturdily believe that we should have won the 2012 election in the ballot without going to court; we did not win solely because of the failure of the party's leadership who lost control of the steering wheel. I don't intend to apportion blames but to let people know the reality on the ground.

I will produce documental evidence to prove and buttress this assertion in my subsequent articles yet to be published.

All that I want to prove is that Nana lost based on the fact that most of the National executives he trusted so much wanted him to.

I will pause for now and come back at an appropriate time.

Thank you.
