Atuguba, The Pimp Akomfem Judge Should Shut Up

Feature Article Atuguba, The Pimp Akomfem Judge Should Shut Up
JAN 9, 2014 LISTEN

I dedicate this poem to all those who died and suffered losses of all kinds in the so-called 1979 revolution and in its predatory aftermath which were meant to promote justice, probity, and accountability in Ghana. Today, that useless tribalistic revolution has paved the way for demonic Rawlingsian characters like William Atuguba who do cruel and unjust things behind closed doors, but in public put up the demeanor of nationalists to ask Ghanaians to fight for the very social justice they prey upon and murder.

The leadership of Ghana is truly in the hands of bloody vultures like Atuguba. And the people of Ghana are marginalized in prisons of poverty where silence is a fool's gold to pick. The three Akan Supreme Court Justices were slaughtered in vain for the Awonoors, Atugubas, and Tsikatas who have never spoken against Rawlings' murderous extravaganza. Why are the people of Ghana silent when the educated vultures among them, like Atuguba, insult their intelligence at the least opportunity?

Yes, benighted Ghanaians are all hoping for bogus contracts, judgment debts, state lands, undeserved mansions, and luxury cars and hence could care less about what happens to their polity of Ghana. Rawlings killed for nothing! We should all be ashamed of our collective silence that gives the Atugubas among us the moments of federated chaos to bare their unclean political teeth at us as if they are the paragons of virtue.

“The presiding Judge in last year's election petition case Justice William Atuguba has called on Ghanaians to rise up and demand their place in the governance of the country. According to him, the seeming indifference towards national issues by citizens has resulted in the current civil and violent upheavals in some countries in Africa including Egypt and Libya. In his first public pronouncement after the verdict on the landmark election petition case, Justice Atuguba said the public must always endeavor to pursue social justice” (Ghanaweb January 8, 2014).

PART 1: ATUGUBA'S FALSE VALIDITY OF JUSTICE

Atuguba bared his clenched teeth
His unclean teeth
At marginalized masses
Fixated his unclean vulturing beak on us
Beaking that Ghanaians should rise up
For his false validity of social justice
The arrogant killer of justice
Atuguba, the amateurish, nepotistic judge
The tribalist with insular inferiority
The useless vulturing judge
Stuck his unclean teeth around NPP's neck
History cursed Atuguba
The day he cursed Justice
The day he took to flight from justice
Like a SADA akomfem in a solo flight

Pen-armed robbers
Self-absorbed in intellectualizing lies
Pimping political hypocrisy
Sanguinary vultures
In democratic nests
Atop the drenched trees
Dripping feces of blood
Preying in democratic nests
Vultures nesting in the bank vaults
Vultures wielding poison in hospitals
Vultures atop the spire of the Church
Vultures with bloody beaks in Parliament
Vultures with preying talons at the Ministries
Vultures preening tribalism in Jubilee House
Our own vulturing politicians, MPs, judges
Preying on us
They make us poor
They steal from us
They buy state lands & bungalows
They buy state cars & tractors
They buy state hotels & factories
All for pittance

PART 2: ONE MORE TIME: ATUGUBA'S LEGAL VIOLENCE

WILLIAM ATUGUBA: Counsel, what is your name
PHILIP ADDISON: Philip Addison, My Lord
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: Yes, my name is Philip Addison, my Lord
ATUGUBA: I said overruled; where do you come from
ADDISON: I am a full-blooded Akan, My Lord
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: My Lord, I am a Ghanaian, My Lord
ATUGUBA: You are overruled; what are you doing in this court
ADDISON: I am representing the NPP, My Lord
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: My Lord, I mean Akufo-Addo, Dr. Bawumia and Obetsebi-Lamptey
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: Yes, I am representing all three, my Lord
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: My Lord, is this the Supreme Court of Ghana
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: Are you Justice Atuguba, My Lord
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: My Lord, this is partisanship
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: My Lord, is overrule only your legal vocabulary
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: My Lord this is partisanship and bias
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: My Lord, you are ANTI-NDC and PRO-NPP
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: This means that you are rather ANTI-NPP & PRO-NDC
ATUGUBA: You are overruled; we are going for recession
ADDISON: My Lord, for how long
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
ADDISON: My Lord, I say you are ANTI-NDC and PRO-NPP
ATUGUBA: You are overruled

PART 3: POSTSCRIPT: ATUGUBA'S IMPLOSION

GHANAIANS: Our Lord Atuguba what is the SC's judgment
ATUGUBA: You are overruled
GHANAIANS: Or Lord what should we do then
ATUGUBA: Rise up and demand .. social justice
GHANAIANS: Truly you a silly AKOMFEM judge
ATUGUBA: You are overruled and I ruled it

Our moment of excellence
Our anticipated independence
In the hands of ATUGUBAS
Is our monument of ineptitude
In the postcolony of prey
Where vultures prey on us
Prey on praying cowards
