NPP The Hague Elects New Executives Committee Members

The external chapter of the New Patriotic Party in The Hague has elected its new executive committee members to a four year mandate in The Netherlands. The keenly contested election retained the incumbent chairman Mr. Kwabena Opoku Agyemang, as well as two other incumbent officers, Mr. Bruce Nimako and Daniel Annor Nyarko, as vice chairman and treasurer respectively.

Other candidates who made their way into the NPP The Hague chapter new executive committee are Mr. Charles Opong as Secretary, Mr. Tony Osei Agyemang as Organizer, Mr. Vincent Gambrah as Deputy Organizer, Ms. Janet Mensah as Women's Organizer, Ms. Beatrice Bempong as Deputy Women's organizer and Mr. Ernest Kwasi Antwi as the Youth Organiser.

Mr. Joe Asiamah, Chairman of council of elders presided over the election. The new officers took their official and secrecy oath which was administered by the Patron, Nana Kwaku Dua. In a congratulatory message the former national chairman NPP-Holland, Mr. Kobby Annan reiterated his pride for The Hague chapter and assured the officers and the entire chapter of his continuous unflinching support. He urged the executives to rise above petty squabble and work in unity and with dedication for the party.

The re-elected Chairman, Mr. Kwabena Opoku Agyemang in his acceptance speech on behalf of the executives, thanked the delegates at the congress for the trust imposed in them and promised to work harder for the party. He said he is confident that the new executives will rise to the challenges and defend the values of the new patriotic party. Mr. Agyemang also called on all Ghanaians in De Haag to remain resolute and start harnessing their moral, logistical and financial support, to assist the NPP to win the 2016 elections in Ghana, to restore hope to all Ghanaians.

The chapter election was a prelude to the NPP-Holland's national election, which will be held in Amsterdam at a yet to be determined date. The New Patriotic Party constitution mandates its members living abroad to organize and constitute themselves to form a branch in their respective countries.
