The National Ambulance Service under the Ministry Of Health has begun training Emergency medical technicians and drivers in its Emergency and Paramedic Training School.

The school which is situated at Nkenkaasu in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti region is the first of its kind in Ghana and the West African sub region.

In all, three hundred students will be trained in defensive driving and several paramedic lifesaving and support skills.

Public Relations Officer of the Ambulance Service, Simons Yusif Kewura tells ultimate radio's Bernard Buachi the Ambulance Service is developing manpower and mobilising resources to ensure top-notch Emergency Medical Services throughout the West African Sub-region.
