Manuel Jose Writes Off Egypt Bid To Eliminate Ghana In World Cup Playoff

Former Al Ahly coach Manuel Jose insists there is no way Egypt can recover from the huge deficit against Ghana to qualify for the World Cup in Brazil.

The Pharaohs must produce a football miracle to overturn a staggering 6-1 defeat suffered against the Black Stars in the first leg of the ultimate qualifier for next year's event.

Egypt however remain defiant and are keeping faint hopes of a revival.

But Manuel Jose who enjoyed a successful spell in Egypt while coach of Al Ahly believes there is no way the Pharaohs can overturn the huge deficit against the Black Stars.

“Egypt win Ghana 5-0? No, it is impossible because Ghana is a very strong team and I think Egypt will not qualify,” Jose said.

“Even if Ghana fall in Cairo they will not fall by such a score line.”
