Accra, Oct. 27, GNA - Individuals, organisations and corporate bodies, have been urged to help ensure quality education in the country.

"The government alone cannot do it. We could all form part of the building process," says   Ms Deborah Tayo Akakpo, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of Tigo-Ghana.

Ms Akakpo gave the advice when Tigo donated a number of chairs and tables to Tema Municipal Assembly Junior High School.

"The school authorities told us that due to the lack of tables and chairs, the students had to have a morning and afternoon session," she said.

Ms Akakpo said children need to learn under conducive conditions, adding that the future of the country largely lies in the hands of the young ones.

"Our commitment to the communities in which we operate is unflinching, and we would continue to support the government and other state institutions, to improve the general well being of people, especially women and children," she said.

The school has a population 340 pupils, comprising 210 females and 130 males.
