The acting Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Alhaji Imoro Alhassan, announced this when he visited the National Service registration centres in Accra and Tema last Tuesday.
Alhaji Alhassan said it was necessary that service persons made an impact in the communities they were posted to.
He said it was on that score that the teaching manual was developed to enhance the skills of service teachers who had no previous experience in teaching.
He indicated that persons assigned to teach would be given some basic training before they entered the classroom.
The Greater Accra Regional Director of the NSS, Nana AntwiI, said it appeared students had accepted their postings this year.
At the Tema office, more than 3000 service personnel had already registered by 3 p.m. on the second day.
