KVAR Energy Controller, a new energy saving device, has been introduced in Ghana to help reduce electrical costs and pollution from energy generation companies.
The new device, made in the United States of America (USA) by KVAR Energy Savings, Inc. and distributed in Ghana by B-Lube Limited, optimizes electrical motors and systems of industries, homes and offices.
Alton Holt, Chief Executive Officer of Hi-Tech Systems said the new device decreases the demand of meter and the wasted power adding that there is an assured 12-year warranty for residential applicants and 5-years for commercial applicants.
He noted that Ghanaians can now save an average of six to 15 percent on electricity bill when the devise is installed, adding that the device can be installed indoors and outdoors at the main distribution panel or subpanel.
He further said that the device reduces heat generation, provides better voltage regulation, and also reduces consumption of electricity, adding that it causes less waste of electrical energy while increasing the life of the inductive equipment in the home or office.
'KVAR increases the capacity to the electrical panel by making it run cooler. All this means extra cedis in your pocket. All KVAR Energy home units are backed with a comprehensive full 12-year factory warranty,' he said.
He however disclosed that Ghanaian technicians and electricians would undergo a two-week intensive training programme to gain experience in fixing the KVAR systems.
Emmanuel Quaye, Managing Director of B-Lube Solutions Media/Communications said, 'Ghana will be the first African country to experience the KVAR and it is another opportunity for Ghanaians to link up with the USA as many technicians and electricians will be trained in fixing the KVAR systems'.
He however disclosed that his company was partnering with government to fix the device in the public industries.
He added that the device has been approved and tested by NASA, Canadian Standards Association, Underwriters Laboratory and Lakeland Electricity in USA.
