Alcatel's Scribe HD handset enters Ghana

Accra, Sept. 3, GNA - TCL Communication, designer and manufacturer of Alcatel One Touch branded mobile devices, has introduced its One Touch Scribe HD handset in Ghana exclusively on Tigo Ghana, a mobile operator.

 
A statement from TCL on Tuesday said the Scribe HD handset, which features a 5' HD touch screen and 720pixels resolution, had all the apps needed to create, play, work, scribble, doodle and sketch.

 
The handset also comes with sleek touch pens, which enables the user to easily capture and express ideas, and it is protected by the 'ultra-handy, ultra-stylish, ultra-wow MagicFlip.'

 
'Who says practicality and style don't mix?' the statement asked, saying that 'the magnetic MagicFlip makes sure the handset stays in a perfect, scratch-free state no matter how much adventuring is done.'

 
In terms of specifications, the One Touch Scribe HD comes with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor running Android Jellybean 4.2, which means everything functions at lightning speed.

 
It is 3G+ compatible and functions at a speed of 42Mbps, which gives the user a super fast online connection. Its Wi-Fi display also allows the user connect the phone to any Wi-Fi LED Television Set and enjoy the same quality picture view of movie or soccer match from the phone.

 
The phone has an eight megapixel rear camera and an HD 720pixel front camera, while supporting HD video recording at 1080pixel.

 
The handset also has a 4GB internal memory and 1GB operating memory, but its micro SD card slot support up to 32GB external memory.

 
The battery power is 2500 mAh, which allows talk time up to 9hours for 2G and 5h for 3G; and a standby time of 500hour for 2G and 250hour for 3G.

 
Packed with creative apps, the Scribe HD note for note taking and sketching includes handy handwriting recognition, montage movie maker app plus a soundtrack app that makes the user an instant star.

 
All the usual social media suspects like Facebook, Twitter and others, once they are worthy, are already preloaded. 

 
The handset comes in a selection of bright colours including Flash Red, Flash Yellow, Pure White or Black. It is durable and always shiny with Dragontrail extra hard glass for the screen and a special oil and fingerprint proof covering.

Meanwhile, Tigo Ghana, would soon be announcing a special data package for those who purchase the Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD on Tigo.
