NPP ARE IN LIMBO OVER THEIR NEXT PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

Now that the Supreme Court verdict has dented the hope and aspiration of Nana Addo of becoming a president through the back door.

The will of the electorates have been endorsed by the 9 Supreme Court Justices.

The real problem is who leads NPP in the next election.Hmmmmm! This is an issue bothering the minds of all well meaning NPP members.It is clear that nana Addo wants a third and final chance amidst his health challenges.The obvious choice is Dr Bawumiah who ticks all the boxes to lead NPP but the problem is his background as a northerner.Will NPP accept a northerner as their flag bearer? Are they ready to accept this change?I don't think so,they will want to push an shanti to lead the party.Names that have emerged are Isaac osei and Alan kyeremanteng.

If NPP choose Nana, his age, health and other issues will affect his chances to become the next president of Ghana.If Bawumia is selected, the Akans might not vote for him because their candidate, Nana Addo, wasn't given the last chance to become the president of Ghana.If Isaac Osei is chosen, NPP will lose the election because Northerners will be disappointed for ditching their 'son' because of his background just like Aliu Mahama 2008.

In my view, Nana Addo should retire and allow Bawumia to go for 2016 general elections with Alan cash or Isaac Osei as his running mate.They will lose the 2016 elections but might win 2020 if NDC don't unite,fail to deliver on their promises or choose a leader that do not appeal to all Ghanaians.NDC have lived up to the expectation and therefore might do the right thing and carry on moving Ghana forward just as they have done over the years.
