Akwatia, Aug. 30, GNA - The Seventh Day Sabbath Church has presented assorted items worth over GH¢ 700 to My Shepherd Orphanage at Akwatia.
The items included a bag of gari, 13 half pieces of wax print, biscuits, cakes of soap, fruit juice, toothpaste and brush and toilet rolls.
Apostle Ephraim Danso, Founder and Head Pastor of the Church, presented the items on behalf of the church.
He said it was a biblical command that the vulnerable in the society including the poor, widows, orphans and the disabled in the society should be assisted to make life bearable for them, hence their gesture.
Apostle Danso said the Church had vowed not to shirk its responsibility by continuing to put smiles on the faces of people.
Receiving the items, Miss Philomena Agyei, Mother of the Orphanage, thanked the Church for their benevolence.
She expressed the hope that other churches, individuals and organizations would come to their aid.
