Zoomlion also made available a cesspit emptier that would empty the mobile toilets on a regular basis.

“We have deployed workers with the necessary toiletries based on where the police place the Zoom cabins to disinfect and keep the zoom cabins clean on a daily basis”, explained Mr. Coleman.

He noted that Zoomlion believes that policing is a shared responsibility and as a result, the company is dedicated to assisting the police service in carrying out its mandate of ensuring law and order in the country.

He also pledged future commitments towards improving the work of the Ghana Police Service.

The zoom cabin has a flushing system, a soap dispenser and a hand washing system neatly and hygienically designed to ensure absolute convenience.

The Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Christian Tettey Yohuno who received the items expressed gratitude to Zoomlion for their continuous commitment to the work of the Ghana Police Service.

He disclosed that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Alhassan instituted the Community Policing Unit to increase police visibility and accessibility and as a result, the Zoom cabins is very essential to the work of the police.

“The absence of places of convenience for our men on the field has been a major concern to the service and we really appreciate this donation”, DCOP Yohuno stated.

He explained that the police visibility and accessibility has helped to reduce the rate of crime in the country adding that, the Ghana Police Service is poised to reduce crime to the barest minimum.

He entreated Zoomlion to extend the donations to other regions to help in the efficient enforcement of law and order.
