PROCA holds election today

The Progressive Road Contractors Association ('PROCA) is holding elections today to elect national officers to handle the affairs of the association for the next three years.

Officers to be elected include the president, two vice presidents, secretary and treasurer.

Similar elections will be held in all the regions to elect regional chairmen.

Three candidates are contesting the office of the President. They are Mr Frank Lartey, Mrs Joana Adjei and Mr Prince Banyerah. Mr Michael Aidoo, the Chief Executive of Big Aidoo Construction Limited and president of the association is not contesting after serving two terms in office.

He said the time had come for new people to take over the association and push it  forward.

The new leadership must help champion and articulate the concerns of contractors, he added

Mr Bossman Oduro Fosu,a patron and Managing Director of BOF company said the elections would be held in Accra at the SSNIT Guest House and the regional offices of the association throughout the country, supervised by officers of the Electoral Commission.
