Businessman Charles Kwadwo Ntim (Micky Charles) has bought Ghanaian second tier club BA Stars for an undisclosed fee, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The Ghana U23 team management committee member sealed the deal to buy the club from owner Tony Bennett last week after successful negotiations.

The new owner now intends changing the club's Sunyani base which moved to Nsutere during the side's relegation from the Premier League to Techiman – which happens to be the biggest municipality in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The new owner however says the immediate target is not Premier League qualification but to develop talents while returning pride amongst the people of Techiman.

“The immediate target for now is not Premier League qualification,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I am happy as a native of this town to provide them with a source of pride while we look to develop the talents we have here.

“We have a stadium here which happens to have one of the best pitches in Ghana and so we intend to put this facility which is lying idle to good use.”

BA Stars' new owner is a one of the many businessmen from the Brong Ahafo Region to invest heavily in Ghana football.

He follows the likes of Emmanuel Kyeremeh of Berekum Chelsea and Kingsley Owusu Achau of Bechem United.
