A second half brace by Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan inspired the Black Stars to a 2-2 draw in a friendly match with Turkey on Wednesday in Istanbul.

Istanbul, a city noted for comebacks following the 2005 Champions League finals experienced another fantastic night of football as Ghana rallied back.

Gyan came off the bench in the second half to rescue Ghana after they fell to two first half goals courtesy strikes by Burak Yılmaz and Umut Bulut at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium.

The friendly, a preparatory match for Ghana ahead of the up-coming 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia saw Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah hand two debutants, goalkeeper Razak Braimah and Yusif Chibsah their first caps.

Gyan scored in the 61st minute before getting the equaliser after 75 minutes for the Black Stars.

Ghana will now turn their sights to the African second round qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup with a home game against Zambia on September 6 in Kumasi.
