TOR workers demonstrate over increment in top managers’ salaries

Workers of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) have accused members of the top management of the Refinery of arbitrarily increasing their salaries without recourse to due process and have thus embarked on a demonstration in protest.

They said the Managing Director of TOR, had increased his salary from 7,000 Ghana cedis to 15,000 while board members were receiving 6,000 Ghana cedis a month. 

Speaking to  Citi News , on condition of anonymity one of the workers of the company said the workers must also see increment in their salaries. 

'Let us have the mandate to sit with management for our salaries to be increased every year' he reiterated
