The Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service say they are yet to establish criminality in case involving 3 children locked up by their parents for 8 years, upon the receipt of second psychological opinion.
The Unit said it is still too soon to determine the criminality of the case after preliminary psychological evaluation of the parents found they suffer from paranoia.
Madina DOVVSU Commander, ASP Christine Srofrenyo told Joy News a second examination of the couple must be done before they can proceed.
According to her, the first evaluation, which was done by a Clinical Psychologist, has been referred to a Psychiatrist - stressing the results were not conclusive.
Unless the Unit can establish the parents' actions were deliberate, no criminal charges can be brought against them.
