Prices of foodstuffs stable at Oguaa

Cape Coast, June 22, GNA- Prices of goods at the Kotokuraba Market in Cape Coast has been stable since the past few days.

A market survey carried out by Ghana News Agency on Friday and detected that the price of one Olonka (the locally accepted measuring container) of groundnut ranges from GHȼ7.50 to GHȼ9.00.

The same quantity for foreign rice ranges from GHȼ 7.00 to GHȼ12.00 whilst local rice is sold at GHȼ 7.00 per Olonka.

Onion is sold at GHȼ10.00 and tomatoes for GHȼ15.00 per Olonka each.

Five pieces of medium size cassava and a tuber of yam cost between GHȼ 2.00 and

GHȼ 8.00.
According to the traders, during the onset of the rains prices of foodstuffs such as plantain, cassava, corn and tomatoes would go down considerably.
