Some angry youth at Teshie in Accra sponsored by a rival faction in a chieftaincy dispute have besieged the King David Preparatory School threatening to burn down the building.
According to Joy News Michaela Anderson, the mob has asked both pupils and teachers to vacate the premises which is said to belong to the other faction in the dispute.
The police appear to be helpless while personnel from the Fire Service are said to be on stand-by in case the irate youth carry out their threat of torching the structure.
Parents are scurrying around trying to take their wards to safety.
Some school children have been locked up in the school building under the care of the teachers whilst others have been rushed to the Teshie Police Station for safety purposes.
Reporters say parents are swarming at the police station in search of their children.
More soon.
