Accra, June 18, GNA - The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday urged its supporters not to mass up at the Kotoka International Airport to welcome Nana Akuffo-Addo from the United Kingdom.
A press statement issued by the NPP and signed by Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, the General Secretary, said the 2012 Presidential Candidate for the Party, will return from a short trip to the United Kingdom on Wednesday.
'Intelligence gathered shows that it will not be in our interest and that of the larger public to mass up at the airport to welcome him,' the statement said.
The statement noted that all party faithful, who wish to show solidarity and welcome Nana Akuffo-Addo back, can do so at his residence at Nima on Thursday, during the day.
'We are grateful to all who have kept faith with us and have shown concern, we are also thankful to the general public for the support and prayers,' it added.
