FATHERS' DAY PARADOX

A lot of fathers are yearly reminded of their lack of a sense of responsibility in performing their basic roles; few ones are praised for their sense of responsibility and care.

The paradox however, is that these fathers who failed to gain even a common recognition as irresponsible father automatically become saints when they are dead and gone.

There is a mix of such expressions in our postings to mark the day.

But there is a lesson to be learnt; let us wish our fathers the best once they are alive (at least for contributing to our birth) even when they have not lived up to our expectations and never wish they become our mentors.

It would be too late when they are no more to be remembered.

My sympathy to you all who have lost your fathers (in whichever category) Happy fathers' day but let your conscience be your guide you if you deserve it.
