The Minister of Gender Children and Social Protection, Nana
Oye Lithur, has described the launch of the re-designed Daily Graphic as a
positive step by Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) to provide the
reading public with relevant, timely, objective information spanning over a
wide subject area.
'I welcome the launch of the re-designed Daily Graphic on
June 7, 2013. The Daily Graphic, the first broadsheet newspaper which has
sustained a commanding leading newspaper publishing in Ghana, has consistently
kept the journalistic standards of ethical and objective reporting in Ghana,'
she said.
She particularly commended the paper for creating a Gender
and Children's Page that is published daily and for also encouraging
journalists who have interest in women's issues, human rights and governance to
write stories in that respect.
She added that the 'launch is welcome and will enhance the
quality and depth of the Daily Graphic. I recommend that you engage more
columnists for the paper.'
