Large scale cultivation of wee in Northern Regional town causes stir

Some residents of Karimenga, a small town in the Northern Region are worried about large scale cultivation of Indian hemp or weed in the area.

The town was hitherto known for its honey production.

But the residents say for some years now, the activity has become a lucrative business.

But their major concern is that many young men in the area have become abusers of hemp.

Joy News' Upper East correspondent, Albert Sore visited the area and reports cunning ways the people in the area adopt to outwit the police, including hiding them under fish, inside cassette and TV set.
