Youth Bridge Foundation represents Ghana at 72nd European Youth Parliament

Accra, May 20, GNA - The Youth Bridge Foundation (YBF), a Non-governmental organisation, is representing Ghana at the 72nd International Session of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) in Germany.

The representatives to the session are Seth Oteng,Executive Director of YBF, Frederick Kwofie, Ewurafua Bailey and Tony Arefin, members of the Foundation.

The representatives were able to present relevant knowledge on Africa and helped participants to understand challenges such as unemployment, poor sanitation and healthcare that are affecting the continent. 

Sponsored by the German Government through the German International Co-operation (GIZ), the move was to get the youth from non-EU member states involved in political debates, intercultural encounters and exchange of ideas.

A press statement signed by the Executive Director of YBF, Mr Oteng, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the problems of Europe and Africa were not isolated.

'They affect the entire world and vice versa. This global dimension is crucial; that countries and continents cooperate and work together,' it said.

The statement said the co-operation between Schwarzkopf Foundation and Youth Bridge Foundation could bring huge benefits for both sides through increased multiculturalism, tackling crucial worldwide issues and making better use of global human resources.

It said in an effort to deepen the relationship between the two organisations, YBF would host a delegation of European youth selected from EYP to the Fifth African Youth and Governance Conference, Accra 2013, scheduled for August 7-9 with support from GIZ.
