Ghanaians living in Malaysia, illegally, are reportedly facing some human rights violations in that country.
Reports indicate that those caught without papers are reported to have been imprisoned immediately without trial or the right to an attorney.
Speaking to Citi News from Malaysia, Kwadwo Owusu Odame said many Ghanaians are facing difficulties, and appealed to the government, to help them return home.
'Malaysia is a hell country and we are just living here by the grace of God,' he stated.
Mr. Odame further stated, 'There are many people in the Malaysian cells that can't even locate their parents or friends because when you are approached by the police, and you don't have a valid document, the first thing they do is take your phone, take the battery and sim card out and take you very far to a cell so unless someone comes to tell us that he saw Ghanaians somewhere, you will stay there for the rest of your life.'
