Kaleo Senior High Technical School in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of the Upper West region is in need of a kitchen and a dining hall to forestall imminent health crisis in the school.
Currently, food is being cooked in the open and students eat in batches because of the lack of a befitting dining hall.
Mr James Wor, the Parent Teacher Association Chairman of the school, made this known during the handing over of a two-apartment teachers quarters and a borehole constructed by the Association at the cost of GH¢62,900.00 to management.
He appealed to the government, the District Assembly, non-governmental organisations and philanthropists to come to the aid of the school in order to salvage the situation.
Mr Joseph Braimah, the Headmaster said the school's population is 1,358 made up of 570 females and 788 boys.
He said the school currently holds nine of its classes at Kaleo Primary School, which is far from the campus. The situation he complained is affecting academic work.
Mr Braimah appealed to Ghana Education Trust Fund to ensure the timely completion of school projects to address the situation.
