Ndc Amsterdam Asks -How Professional Are Our Media-Houses
26.03.2013 LISTEN

In recent times, Ghanaians have been subjected to a despicable culture cultivated by newspapers and media houses around the country that only goes to create despair/hopelessness in our people , disregard and disrespect towards the leadership of our beloved country Ghana and no one seems to have the courage to highlight this.

The good people of Ghana deserve better and its about time we ( Ghanaians) collectively pull our efforts to denounce the despicable trend that men and women in the media have subjected the populace to. At a gathering of Ghanaians in the Netherlands, some NDC members present expressed their dis-satisfaction to the content on our Radio and Television, and how sad it is to see so called educated professional speak ignorantly without an aorta of wisdom that could nature the minds of the youth to do and be better, instead we have media professionals like Kweku Baako , Adakabere etc (just to name a few) all entrenched in the gutters of dis-respect towards leadership by their un-professional utterances of recent times.

We strongly believe it is good to criticize, but, shouldn't we all be plugged into constructive criticism that will enable us see where we can better ourselves, than to use the 'finger-pointing criticism” that is aimed at mocking or disrespecting others purely because of their short-comings or lack of vision, differences in opinions etc.

It is obvious that there are good men and women in the media today, who are very well vested into their profession as media professionals , who would at any and all times be able to comport themselves professionally to the good of our nation as a whole, but rather unfortunately the bad nuts, are the loudest and they are the ones that have succeeded in creating whole-sale despair in the minds and hearts of Ghanaians, therefore government to some who are not well informed is seen as not doing anything at all enhance lives of all Ghanaians.

NDC Amsterdam would like to commend the restrained behavior of Politicians who have been lip-washed by radio presenters and new-paper editors, and encourage them to continue with their contribution towards our national development plan under the leadership of His Excellency John Mahama. We also take the opportunity, to commend the National Executives for embracing Hon. Kofi Adams back into the party fold.

We urge Ghanaians from all walks of life to start the push to filter or flush out any media professional that doesn't have anything constructive to say or add to building our identity as Ghanaians, we must all start investing in what is GHANAIAN, than be blinded by the cheap glitter and fan-fare that some media houses use to collate their ratings. Credible Media houses / Websites / Webmasters should be able to stand out in the pack, and make Ghanaians proud to be who we are as a people, than allow the “semi-professionals” to create the sour taste of despair and helplessness. It is UN-GHANAIAN to be selfish and disrespectful and we give thumbs up to www.modernghana.com and www.spyghana.com on accuracy.

Finally, in respond to the cheap swipe at the seat of Government, Adakabre of Adom FM should take a course in Governance so he understands that at the end of the day its not the President /CEO / Founder etc etc of institutions /companies/ countries etc that make the seat , rather it's the machinery set by policy makers that should be seen working to enhance lives that do. So if he, in his own wisdom, thinks it's the president that should go into his community to clean up after him for him to see that the president is working, then he should think again, and educate himself to the realism of world governance. ( Didn't he see President Obama dancing on the ELLEN SHOW and singing to a rap song? its proves the man listens so say something constructive. After all we all say in Ghana that Nyansah wor hor yi eni onipa baako tiri mu.)

Our collective efforts is to unite not to divide. God Bless Ghana .

EDEY BE K3K3 !!
