Chris Brown Smoking Brouhaha: It Was Full Of Shame And Disgrace!
It is too late for anyone to call for the arrest of the R&B singer Chris Brown for allegedly smoking marijuana on stage during his recent performance in Accra Sports Stadium.
Reports reaching Ghanaians resident in Toronto Canada, had it that the singer who has received a lot of tongue lashing for his bad behavior on stage in Ghana had even parted ways with his main body guard BIG PAT, in Bermuda.
According to reports, the singer had a misunderstanding with his body guard on his private plane before refueling in that country and he decided to drop him from his aircraft before continuing his journey.
That means the singer who was heard promoting smoking of weed among the country's upcoming youth and students was managed to sneak out of the country long before the security men could put his hands into the iron bungle.
Ghanaians in the Diaspora especially in Toronto-Canada pride themselves of good tradition and culture which other country's who come to learn are envious of therefore when the news broke out that the R&B singer went to perform in Ghana and promoted smoking weed on stage, it dented the image of the country here.
All over the province of Ontario, in schools, churches, societies and in resident communities, Ghanaian youth are seen as outstanding demonstrating quality tradition and culture that maintains peace and understanding among all people.
Children services at various churches Ghanaian children performs drama that seeks to educate foreigners about true Ghanaian way of life which are based on ethics and peaceful way of coexistence amongst all. So when the news came out it really puts shame on Ghanaians faces.
Initially, many Ghanaians living in North America never supported the idea of the singer performing life in Ghana because of his bad track record as a wife beater who beat up his girl friend Riana.
The R&B singer after assaulting the girl friend was prosecuted in a court in America where he was sentenced to a period to serve in correctional home as well as made to collect refuse and garbage at very popular parks where he was seen holding brooms and dust pan collecting refuse at his punishment for the assault.
Such a person who has no moral to teach our upcoming industrial youth was invited and paid 1 million dollars to perform in Ghana? What good did he come to teach our youth? For the boys to start wearing ear rings and tattoo their whole body to become scary?
In the first place Chris Brown was not supposed to have been invited to come and perform any concert in Ghana if his true background had been checked before the programme.
It would be recalled that Lady Gaga, was billed to perform in Indonesia last year. Some human rights societies hit the streets demonstrating calling for the cancellation of the programme challenging that she supports gay and same sex marriage which the country does not.
According to the human rights societies, should she be allowed to perform in the country she would influence the legal brains to change the laws that ban gay and same sex marriages and in the long run the country will suffer from dire circumstances.
Their petition was accepted by the government of which the powers that be based on their arguments to cancel the performance that never is. Indonesia did this as a country to protect its tradition and culture from being changed from good to bad and Ghana could have done the same.
Some of us it is our prayer that the abnormality that the R&B singer came to preach in Ghana does not affect our industrial youth that we are doing everything in our possible means to raise as future leaders.
