Member of Parliament for Chereponi calls for unity among natives

Azumah Namoro Sanda Accra, March 14, GNA - Mr Azumah Namoro Sanda, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Chereponi in the Northern Region has called for unity among the people in the Constituency.

He said, without unity, it was impossible to achieve the goals in the constituency, and called on the natives of the area to promote unity, peace, stability and cooperation among the people for development.

Mr Sanda made the call when he granted an interview to the Ghana News Agency at the Parliament House in Accra on Thursday.

He promised to work with the District Assembly, security agencies and heads of department to ensure that the area achieved its developmental targets set by the Assembly and called on the people of Chereponi to act as Ambassadors of peace to promote development.

Mr Sanda said education and health were his priority, saying that, his vision for the area was to expand infrastructure, water delivery and social amenities.

He called on Opinion leaders, Chiefs, Political leaders and youth groups to support his outfit to achieve the targets set for the constituency and appealed to them to continue praying for peace, unity, stability and the development in the constituency.

It would be recalled that the MP toured Nima, Agbogboloshie and Ashaiman to familiarize with his constituents living in the Greater Accra Region.

His visit was to interact and ascertain at first-hand the problems and challenges that the natives of Chereponi in Accra were facing and how to solve them.

Mr Sanda in his interaction with the natives advised the youth to unite and live in peace with the people of the Ga State and also respect their traditional and cultural values, saying that 'As strangers from other regions, lets us respect the traditional and cultural values of our host Region.'

He said he is embarking on a project to organize a home coming in December this year and subsequent years, which would bring together all the natives of the area to discuss issues towards the advancement of the area.
