Celebration Of Heritage on 9th March - Covent Garden

04.03.2013 LISTEN
By Keleisha Simpson

Saturday 9th March will see the launch of 'Celebration of Heritage', the 1st
annual event to be hosted by 'Everything Will BOK'.

Founded by the ambitious 25 year old Bright Oduro-Kwateng Jnr, 'Celebration
of Heritage' aims to bring the essence, flavour and culture of Ghana to the
centre of Covent Garden (London) at The Africa Centre. The evening will play host to Ghana's future rising stars, whilst bringing together an array of promising young professionals and influencers of Ghanaian heritage from the worlds of Business, Law, Education and Entertainment.

Guests will be welcomed on a red and kente carpet. Hosted by Simply Andy, the evening will commence with a champagne reception followed by a buffet dinner of Ghanaian delicacy. Entertainment on the night will include DJ Bibi (Ghana Music Awards), E3 Brothers, Chaleboy The Poet, Uniq Sister, Stepping Stonez Drama and University Gospel Choir Of The Year (X Factor).

This joyful evening will also create the perfect ambiance for networking
activities, whilst providing the opportunity for key speakers from charities
and businesses such as The Ghana High Commission, Me Firi Ghana and WAM
Campaign to share their projects whilst also providing insight towards Ghana's
current economical situation.

This unique twist of Celebrating ones Heritage is that, as well as honouring
Ghana's rich history and culture, guests will also leave the event having
experienced an element of fulfilment, whilst being equipped with a sense of
direction for future aspirations and contributions to the community.

Since 6th March 1957, the Ghanaian community has been celebrating the
end of colonial rule and the dawn of their independence. As we continue to
commemorate, we now enter the 56th year of independence.

“Celebration Of Heritage opens the doors for Ghanaians in Britain to not only celebrate their independence by dancing to hip life and leaving an event with sore feet, but rather to achieve an evening infused of education, networking and entertainment by creating a dynamic explosion of enjoyment- bringing Accra to London in the most sophisticated way yet!” - Bright Oduro-Kwateng Jnr
