The Coalition of Ghanaian Voters wishes to invite all peace loving Ghanaians in and around Greater Accra to a peace walk titled “RESPECT MY VOTE AND GIVE GHANA PEACE”
We are stakeholders to the growth and entrenchment of Ghana's democracy. We are conscious of the attempts by a disgruntled section of the Ghanaian voter populace, who are nursing the idea of endangering Ghana's onward march to peace, progress and prosperity.
It is because we value our national peace, unity and stability that we are organizing the above-event on TUESDAY, 19THFEBRUARY 2013. The aim of our event is to sensitize Ghanaians on the need to keep the peace, and to appeal to the discontent elements in our society to allow the justice system to roll for the sake of peace and harmony of our country.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday 19thFebruary 2013 in Accra at 6:00a.m, starting from the Kawokudi School Park, through Nima Highway, Ridge Roundabout, Parliament House and ending at the Afua Sutherland Park, near National Theatre, Accra.
The Coalition will present a Petition to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Doe Adjaho and end up with a rally at the Afua Sutherland Park.
We have formally invited all political parties in Ghana and wish to invite Human Rights Groups, Associations, Civil Groupings, Churches and Individuals who are desirous of keeping intact the stability of this dear nation of ours in this all important Peace Walk.
Our event is non-political and we shall appreciate it much if the participants do not display political symbols and attires during the peace march.
Additionally, no participant should bring any placard not approved by the Event Coordinators.
