Koforidua, Feb. 11, GNA - The Eastern Regional branch of Zongo for Mahama has disassociated itself from a publication which alleged that the activities of some regional executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were undermining the party.
'We wish to state that the publication is false and unwarranted'.
This was contained in a statement issued in Koforidua and signed on behalf of the club, by Mr Amuzu Selassie, Regional Secretary of the Association and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).
The statement said as a body in the NDC, they would support anyone President John Mahama would appoint to occupy a position.
'We therefore state clearly that we do not discriminate among our leadership and we would not do anything to divide the party'.
The statement used the opportunity to congratulate Mr Julius Debrah, the Regional Chairman of the Party, on his elevation as the Regional Minister. GNA
