The current strike action by the GMA is very unfortunate and is likely to cost our people of Ghana a great deal of expertise and human beings who could have contributed their quota to make this nation flourish.
But I think GMA, Teachers and the ordinary Employee in Ghana should be given an audience.
How can a proposed rent for an M.P who solicited for vote to serve us be GHC50,000 with an additional GHC7,200 monthly salary and also emoluments of the M.P's common fund which runs into millions.
Meanwhile Doctors, Nurses, Police, Teachers...etc who are on the ground working are given meagre Take-home pay which can't even take them home. It soothes my heart to see the state of affairs in this our dear country, where judgement debt payment alone for the year could pay for a triple of salaries of all civil and public servants combined.
We shouldn't sit down for such to happen. I guess this action if given the necessary support and backing could help address some of the issues which are crippling this Nation.
I weep..I really do. Pls lets call this strike action to order but lets also see to it that the public purse is properly accounted for and such employess are given their due!!!!!
