Students With Science Must Be Considered For Admission

Students With Science Must Be Considered For Admission

Majority doesn't know but those who knew, advice their wards not to take up any difficult subject at SHS level to be able to pass well for thorough admission into any tertiary institution in Ghana since a subject you pursue at SHS level in ghana has no role in your tertiary admission and education.

Infact should a sampled correlation be made to harvest students at SHS level who loiter around and make noise in schools, then the non science students would top by three times.

I am an art student but I had a senior who pursued science and scored aggregate 28 SSCE and came back to pursue home economics with aggregate 11 now we are all in the same institution pursuing nursing.

Examining the course outline and its content for science students and other students within the same duration at SHS level reveals toughness for science student to be able to reach eqillibrium with their counterparts in admission.

If the requirement for non science students should be at least c6 in 3 cores and c6 in three electives, then science students must be demanded, c6 in 3 cores and c6 in 2 electives making five credits. This would push more students to take up science to be able to explore their potentialities.

Another aspect of which I want to channel in here is that, past questions exams does not help the students to explore their full potentials, differences and how programmatic they are oriented.

I am therefore pertitioning our dear Educational Minister and National Accreditation board to help bring more science students to serve the nation by pondering on this note since most activities of the nation are built on scientific grounds.
