IC Publications Announces New Advisory Board Members

  Fri, 01 Feb 2013

Pan African media group IC Publications is pleased to announce the appointment of 17 members to its inaugural board of advisors with immediate affect. The group has brought together a diverse body of statesmen, business leaders, economists and thought leaders from both within and outside the African continent in a bid to further establish itself as Africa's most authoritative publications company.

Speaking on this new development, the group's Publisher Omar Ben Yedder said: "We are delighted to welcome on board such a distinguished group of individuals and personalities. This board will hopefully drive us to attain new heights. I am confident they will help our group to be at the forefront of the debate in Africa and in our endeavour to shape the African agenda. Put simply our group is passionate about Africa, and we feel that our council of advisors are equally and unequivocally passionate about the African cause. Their track record speaks for itself. We are extremely excited about these additions and I am sure, with their wisdom, honesty and foresight, our eminent advisors will prove to be an invaluable component in our mission to further the development of the continent.”

The board will assist in improving the quality and scope of the group's output in its two core businesses: events and magazine publishing. As a direct consequence of this input IC Publications hopes to further impact on issues of socio-economic empowerment and sustainable development in Africa and beyond. Additionally, the board will hold its annual meeting during the group's flagship awards ceremony the African Business Awards to be held later this year.
