Dear Uncle Kwasi,
Since this is my first letter to you, I find it quite prudent to congratulate you on your appointment as the substantive head coach of our dear Black Stars. To tell you the truth,I was one of the many Ghanaians who clamoured for a Ghanaian coach to man the affairs of the national team. And indeed I must admit that I am glad at how you have acted so far.

Your thrashing of Lesotho at Kumasi didn't go unnoticed. It was actually a strong message you sent to your critics that you were in for business of course. You also played a great role in getting us into the AFCON tournament this year.Quite a commendable feat. And it is for this same tournament that i write to you.I hope you get this piece, maybe uncle Sani is reading.

In the run-up to this tournament a lot of issues were raised about your squad for which you were reported to have great confidence in (of course you should).

My prime concern with the squad was the 'cut-off' of Jordan Ayew and later Dede Ayew. While others argue that it was personal, you once again put out that it was purely tactical.Well,it goes on to mean you had a better replacement (so to say) we all could make do with.

But Uncle Kwasi,I haven't seen that replacement yet. What i saw in our first game was many balls just outside the 18-yard box waiting to be hit by someone.i hope this is well noted and addressed Sir.

Obviously,The Gaffer has the final say as to who plays what position on the field. That is why we made you the Gaffer so we will take any squad you choose in good fate. But what we Ghanaians (the taxpayer whose money is being used) cannot do with is the fact that a prolific midfielder like Kwadwo Asamoah will start a game at leftback whiles a fit Harrison Afful (our known leftback) sits on the bench. My inexperienced football mind makes me think a great deal of change would have reflected if a playmaker of Kwadwo's sort had been in the helm of affairs. The bad news is 'WE DREW WITH A CRISIS HIT CONGO'.

Uncle Kwesi'vic' ,I am quite sure by now that plans are far advance to put up a good show against Mali and Niger. We pray for a resounding victory.Ghana deserves better after 32 years of 'Cup Hunger'.We want to see the Captaincy Of Asamoah Gyan, The flair of Kwadwo Asamoah In Midfield (not in defence) ,the magic of Atsu (ayigbe messi) and goals from Adomah.

Ghanaians admire your 'big tie'....maybe it is the trademark of the African cup winning coach (Amen). But I suggest a 'slimmer tie' to make the victory more 'gargantuan'...On the lighter side'

Greetings to the whole camp and let them know that Ghanaians expect better....we deserve better and we wish them well.

God bless our homeland Ghana!
Yours Truly
