Nii Adjei Kraku II, Tema Mantse has sent messages of felicitation to all political parties contesting in today's polls.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE in an interview at his Tema Palace, Nii Adjei Kraku II said even though chiefs are not allowed to meddle in politics, it behooves them to preach peace to their subjects because they are supposed to be peace-oriented persons to promote development and peaceful co-existence.

He explained that no community or country can develop without peace, adding that chiefs, like politicians, must not engage their subjects or followers in acts that may promote violence.

Ghana, he observed, has become a haven for citizens of other neighbouring countries.

Ghana can therefore not afford to engage in acts that may jeopardize the peace and security it is enjoying now. This is because should there be an outbreak of war, there would be no place for the Ghanaian people to seek refuge, he indicated.

He asked political leaders in the country to do their work and leave the rest to God and destiny.

He said, “I wish all the presidential and parliamentary candidates of all the political parties as well as independent candidates well in their decision to contest these keenly contested polls. May Allah bless you all and make the best happen to you all,” he prayed.

He advised winners of the polls to celebrate wisely in order not to incur the wrath of the losers.

He also called on the losers to accept their fate and appreciate the fact that in every competition there are bound to be winners and losers.
