
The Ghanaian Clergy Association of Toronto on Friday, November 30, 2012 invited all churches and individuals of the Greater Ghanaian Community of Toronto to a Believers' All-Night Prayer Conference at the Ghanaian Presbyterian Church.
It was held towards Ghana 's upcoming elections on Friday, 7th December 2012. The theme for the event was “God Save Ghana” taken from Isaiah 62:1 with Apostle Anokye Manu of the Apostles' Continuation Church International Canada as the main speaker.
He exhorted the congregants to pray to God to intervene on our behalf for a peaceful and fair elections come Friday, 7th December 2012.
He added that our motherland Ghana abounds in many natural resources and now with our new found oil, may the good Lord guide the electorate to elect a God-fearing President who will be able to oversee the God-given natural and mineral resources for the betterment of Ghana.
He continued that all eyes are on Ghana and that as Christians in the Diaspora especially here in Toronto, we should not rest but pray unceasingly to God to ensure a peaceful and fair election in Ghana.
Over 20 Clergies from different denominations were on hand to lead the congregation in the intercessory prayers for our beloved country. It was the first ever all-night prayer conference organized by the Ghanaian Clergy Association of Toronto. As part of the event, Ghanaian Gospel Singer Esther Piesie was on hand to lend her support to the prayer conference as she sang songs from her repertoire especially the track titled “Me nte asie”.
The moderator for the conference was Pastor Isaac Takyi De-Graft of Lighthouse Assembly of God. Mr. Kodjo Mawutor, Ghana's Consul General in Toronto brought greetings from the Ghana government, and the Ghana High Commissioner in Ottawa.
The host pastor was Rev. Frank O. Adu.
