KANO, Nigeria (AFP) - A suicide attack on a Nigerian church in the city of Kaduna followed by reprisal attacks on Sunday killed at least eight people and wounded 145 others, a rescue official and an AFP correspondent said.

"So far we have eight dead and 145 injured from the church blast," Musa Ilallah, regional coordinator for the National Emergency Management Agency, told AFP, noting that his death toll included the suspected bomber.

An AFP correspondent earlier witnessed a man burnt alive in a reprisal attack by a Christian mob.
