NDC, A PARTY OF IMPOSSIBILITIES!

NDC, A PARTY OF IMPOSSIBILITIES!
27.09.2012 LISTEN

I will be embarrassed if I were a member of NDC. How can a ruling party spend state resources to hold high level meetings, and the agenda for the meetings is to ensure Ghanaians do not believe in the policy alternatives of the NPP. For weeks now, the series of meetings they held centers around the same theme.

Series of polls and research they have conducted has shown a gloomy picture. The NDC will lose or it's too close to call. The fear is that most of them will be out of job, they will go hungry. Their source of living depends on staying in power. It is a matter of public record that some of them had no jobs prior to their political appointments. Their disrespectful behaviors while in power makes them unfit to work in any serious private organization. Their motivation for all the lies is "butter and bread", their stomach. They want to stay in power to continue the loot.

Ghanaians all over have bought into the policies of the New Patriotic Party. Be it the Educational Policy-Free SHS, Teacher First policy, infrastructural improvement, skills development, Economic Transformation- Value-Addition to Raw Agro-produce, Light industries, Economic Development Authority, Job creation, Ghanaians have accepted the message. Electorates have declared their support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the NPP.

This is what has shaken the ruling NDC party to the marrow. Their new strategy is to confuse Ghanaians. They want to create doubt about the possibilities in life. Listen to them, almost every government commentator will give you reasons why any of the NPP policy is "impossible". Ghanaians are practically spending money on these "inexperienced" communicators and government to tell us how "impossible" life is.

The NDC has a track record for doubting and opposing any ground breaking policy in this republic. They opposed the NHIS when NPP introduced it. Strangely, in the 2008 electioneering campaign, they promised to make NHIS premium payment "one-time". They claim the premium contributed an "insignificant" amount to the scheme. As we speak today, the party is in its fourth year. They have neither provided Ghanaians with the one-time NHIS promise nor have they apologized to the good people of this country.

These people had a TV commercial which shows how petrol could be sold for as low as GHC 3.00. Dr. Ampofo was the teacher (resource person) with a chalk. He wrote formulas on the blackboard, deceiving Ghanaians that the NPP was insensitive to the plights of Ghanaians. When the NDC won power, this teacher (Dr. Ampofo) was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Tema Oil Refinery. He was sacked for incompetence and wanton failure. The promise to make a gallon of petrol GHC 3.00 never materialized neither have they apologized to Ghanaians for the lies.

In 2007 when the New Patriotic Party discovered oil in commercial quantity, the NDC said it was a lie. Indeed, the current Minister of Education, Lee Ocran said the crude oil was "dirty oil". The NDC ridiculed the discovery the country had made. Today, almost every loan contracted by this NDC government is because of the same oil find. Many businesses that are setting up in Ghana are interested in the oil discovered under the NPP government.

So the NDC has a consistent track record of either opposing or ridiculing any ground breaking achievement and policy.

The NPP promised Free SHS in the 2008 elections. We had a short time to campaign so the message did not go down well. Unfortunately, we lost. Since 2010, Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP have maintained the same message. The message has sunk to the core of the Ghanaian society. Indeed, in a recent trip to the North, a little child requested for the "Free SHS policy" from President John Mahama. The message has gone down to the people.

Suddenly, the NDC has realized if they do not create doubts about the Free SHS policy, their losing will be massive. Hence, the series of meetings and press conferences they have held in recent times. They did not care about the Free SHS in 2010 because it was not threatening. According to Kwadjo Twum Boafo, CEO of the Free Zones Boards, Free SHS policy is the biggest threat to the NDC retaining power. With such a mindset, they will do whatever it takes to create doubt it.

I am happy Ghanaians will not fall for the deceit and lies of the NDC. They have nothing to show for their government but corruption, incompetence and lies.

Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP will deliver on our promise. We will provide the FREE SHS policy next year, September 2013.

Transformation is coming... Free SHS is coming...
I LOVE GHANA
