By Ghanaian Chronicle

It was with great shock to most people in Cape Coast, the former colonial capital of the country, when news broke out that a Ghanaian was collaborating with two Ivorian nationals to destabilise Ghana's western neighbour.  Many people would want to know who that Ghanaian is?

Residents scrambled for newspapers which published the story on their front pages on Tuesday, to catch a glimpse of the Cape Coast native, and lo and behold it was Captain Imbrah, the illustrious son of the soil.

Captain Imbrah is said to be the first Ghanaian (black man) to pilot the Black Star Line Ship across the Atlantic Ocean to the outside world, which overwhelmed white sailors during the hey days of the defunct shipping line, which was once the pride of Ghana and Africa.

Captain Imbrah is a talented sailor who made it in life at a tender age and he became popular among Cape Coasters with his white Pontiac Saloon car.

According to some residents, Captain Imbrah once imported 15 articulated trucks and brought them to Cape Coast. He was a successful man and his work as a merchant ship captain paid off. Captain Imbrah, in the course of his work, stayed in Ivory Coast since 1986 and only returned in 2010 to his motherland.

But what has become of this great son of the soil? Well, Captain Imbrah allegedly went into hard drugs usage which has ruined his life, rendering him a pauper.

Captain Imbrah now walks with the aid of clutches, and men and women bite their fingers in shock when they saw the former successful man in front of newspapers, arrested for being a contact man for an Ivorian ex-Sergeant and a politician, who are alleged for plotting to overthrow the government of President Alassane Ouattara of Ivory Coast.

Use of Hard drugs has ruined the life of Captain Imbrah, once a role model but now in the grips of the police, awaiting possible trial.

Ghana needs more achievers in its quest to reach full middle income status in all fields; therefore, the youth must see drugs as dangerous to their forward match to greatness in life.
