Mankrong-Junction (C/R), Aug 20, GNA - Muslim youth have been advised not to allow politicians to influence them with money to create chaos in 2012 Election.

Alhaji Ibrahim Jabire, Chief Imam of Mankrong-Junction, in the Central Region, who made the call, expressed worry that some Muslim youth were used by some people to create violence, which was against the tenets of the Quran and Islam.

The Chief Iman, who led Muslims at Mankrong-Junction in an open prayer to end their 30 days fasting, said Ghanaians do not want to witness any bloody polls as it happened in some West African countries, and urged the youth to use their exuberance to improve on their living standards.

Alhaji Jabire appealed to Muslim parents to send their children, especially girl-child, to school.

At Agona Swedru, Alhaji Musah, Saduana of the Central Region, called on Ghanaians to support government efforts at improving the economy.

He called on the political parties to conduct peaceful campaigns devoid of insults and acrimony.
