
Anfoega (V/R), Aug 19, GNA - Mr George Loh, legal practitioner, on Sunday dethroned the incumbent Member of Parliament of the North Dayi District to claim the candidacy on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He polled 99 votes representing 36.7 percent of the ballot to beat Ms Sena Dansua by 12 votes out of the total valid votes of 269.
Dr Kodjo Gavua, a lecturer, scored 30 percent with 88 votes.
The Constituency primary which was presided over by the Electoral Commission recorded a single spoilt ballot.
Similarly, in the contest at Kpando, Mrs Dela Sowah, a publisher came first by polling 129 votes to represent the NDC in that Constituency.
Mr Charles Kwasi Nkansah polled 40 votes to place second with Mr James Kofi Fornu coming third with 36 votes.
Mr Fornu and the other losers in the contest pledged their support to the winners of the contest.
