It contains nothing of importance.
Indeed, it seeks to propagate the hypocrisy and revisionism that has been the hallmark of any description or assessment of Mills' presidency.
It also perpetuates the culture of mediocrity. How can he describe the Ghetto Funeral(GF) as flawless??
The whole thing(GF) further cemented the chaotic and sub par performances that have become our stock in trade.
The conclusion of a peaceful transition is attributed to the Executive, Parliament, the Judiciary, security services and media?...and we must praise and thank them? Hell no!
They are all public servants who simply performed their allotted tasks according to the letter of the Law...it is that SIMPLE...they had no other choice- and the greedy bastards know that- in a purely selfish way.
He talks about POLICY....what policy? To be effected when? Over the next four months?
Did he not know or prepare himself to take power knowing all that we all know now?
He has had three weeks already- or he has only been thinking about the funeral? Now we have to wait another 2 weeks?
It is a typical GHANA speech. It is poorly written and almost sophomoric.
It cannot withstand any rigorous/enlightened analysis. His speech writer should be fired immediately!!!!

The speech he delivered is a typical GHANA one as you pointed out and as mediocre as your write-up. :)
